Every Monday of the week, Benicia Key Club volunteers for the Community Meal at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church for at least two and a half hours. There are no photos this month as members were constantly busy volunteering. An example of these community meal events would be how Benicia Key Clubbers helped other volunteers in putting together meals. Last Monday, June 28th, we prepared hot dogs, salad, and coleslaw which were put in a styrofoam container in packs of two for someone to eat during dinner. On top of that, we packed a combination of treats for dessert, from chocolate chip to fig cookies. To our surprise, we had a huge turnout and gave away more than 200 meals that day.
