Food Distribution

Every 2-3 weeks, there is an opportunity to participate and volunteer at local food distributions. Today, people unpacked the bags of food from the food pantry and placed them on tables ready to give to the people. During this distribution, I met new people (while safely social distancing) to help and guide me to the tasks that needed to be done. Everyone was so kind in helping each other when one got lost or confused. Especially doing these small community events with friends makes it 100x better. It was fun meeting new people and creating a system of who gives the frozen chicken and the Kiwanis boxes in each station to not make it as chaotic and confusing. Whenever I get a chance and am free on Thursdays, I take every opportunity to go to the Aquatics Center/Boys And Girls Club to help out any way I can!
